How does someone get ahead of me walking?

I was able to use chat and mine is now fixed. I gave them the reservation number, the dates I had and what I needed, and asked them to escalate to IT as no one else could book the 12th as I had the 11th.

Did I miss something - DVC is making a move to limit walking? I rarely walk but I have been idly following discussions about it just to keep myself up on stuff.

Cool I am going to try chat first... I am a high school history teacher... so cant call till my lunch break. I will update you guys and see how it goes.

On this thread..hadn't heard about it either. I have walked a few times but not in the last year or so (29 year DVC) and it is a pain. The bots are taking over IMO. We'll be at WDW in a few weeks and I looked ahead at availability during Milton to see if we wanted to switch out reservations and there was a surprising amount of availability end of month. It is mostly gone. Did DVC members all of a sudden decide to go last minute? I don't know, but those villas aren't there now. Not liking it either way.

Soo.... I asked to them to escalated to IT that it looks like a glitch... the cm submitted a ticket to IT... but said they could do nothing else. They did put me on the waitlist... so that may or may not work.. depending if IT fixes in time.. but I think I will probably have to restart it when ever the glitch is done.

Since I’ve been an owner, every time there’s a bug some people start to say that DVC is finally doing something to stop walkers. Every single time it has been just Disney IT 🤣

No, I do not think DVC is doing anything to stop walking. I just think that there is something going on with the online booking tool that is causing some issues with not being able to walk a few of the room types.

Of course, it’s having an impact and I guess for those who don’t like walking, they might be okay with it. Lol

Until they have to book at exactly 11 months. I see it happening with Riviera Standard right now and it’ll be impossible to book for anyone until we’re past the 12th if it stays like that.

Good to hear Chat works. When you have live agents, sometimes better than a call (as long as chat agents aren't overloaded and require 5 minutes to reply).
