How does SkyAuction work?

I just read a bit about Skyauction on a few threads, but didn't see a full description of how this site works. I popped over to the site just to check it out and there are weeklong vacations only going for $20-some dollars and the auction ends in a day . . . how is that possible?

What am I missing?

Be sure and read the entire listing. There are other fees involved, but the weeks are still usually great bargains.

I looked a few times for airfare, and it was always more than I could buy it elsewhere, though, by the time I added everything up.
