How does Remy compare to MMRR?

I get motion sick fairly easily. I was mostly OK on MMRR, just closed my eyes a couple of times. How does MMRR compare to Remy, motion and screen-wise?

The big issue you’ll have with Remy is the 3D screens where you watch the scenes while siting stationary. There’s nothing similar in MMRR.

You won’t be missing anything by skipping Remy. At least we had a LL - if I had waited 50 minutes to get in for that overrated attraction, I sure wouldn’t be happy.

I really enjoyed Remy - in particular the queue, actually... but to each his own.

Now, for the main question - I think those of us with motion sickness have different "types" of motion sickness. I have no problem at all with roller coasters, but man, flight of passage is tough for me.

MMRR is fine for me *except* the "underwater" part. That throws me for a loop.

In short, it's screen-based movement that get to me. If you're like me and you ride Remy straight up, I'm guessing you'll suffer.

BUT... there's a fix, though imperfect.

First, I often took off the 3D glasses. That made the effects easier to tolerate (and actually allowed me to enjoy the physical props more). Second, I'd often look to the sides and such frequently to calm my queasiness. Sure, I didn't get the "full" Remy experience, but I'm glad I did it and was able.

Now, if it's the ride vehicle movement that gets to you... I think you're toast.

My wife is prone to motion sickness but neither of these two attractions gives her any problem at all.

MMRR is ok but Remy made both my husband and I very queasy-he won’t ride again and I’ll only ride if I take prescription Meclizine.

I am fine with MMRR, fine with FOP too. Remy was a little disorienting with the quick movement on the screens. I was fine after the ride; it was just during. I was also glad we didn’t spend a long time in line or pay for an ILL when it was still the separate charge for genie.

Neither of us had issues with motion sickness with Remy or MMRR. Loved both of them. Neither has really fast movements and no real spinning movements.
Between the two, I would pick Remy, but love both of them.

DD and I are fine on MMRR, Remy was another story however. It wasn't horrible, but we didn't feel great (and we had taken meds). I feel like I spent a lot of time focusing on trying not to feel sick.

This describes my experience perfectly (minus having taken meds)! I found taking my 3D glasses off helped. And also riding BEFORE imbibing in World Showcase refreshments haha. MMRR has never given me any issues.

I'm fine with MMRR, but didn't feel well after Remy. I was also sick on FOP although the motion was minimal.

Those in our family who get nauseous on certain rides are totally fine on MMRR but not at all on Ratatouille. It's the 3D glasses and screens that make the difference.

Remy is sort of like MMRR with the added feature of being 3D. I did get a bit queasy on it and had to look away from the screens a few times. i didn't get sick at all on MMRR.

I struggle with screen based rides that need glasses. FOP is rough for me… Remy not as bad. MMRR is no problem at all… Soarin’ no issues. I also was fine with Guardians (read some where not to look at the big white moon and did not… not sure if it played a role since this ride doesn’t need glasses).

I can't do FoP at all. I've been twice, with meclizine AND a scope patch, and had to hunker down with my eyes closed, concentrating on the wind blowing on me, for 99% of the ride. I opened my eyes twice when the flying stopped, but the second it resumed, UGH. I'm guessing maybe we should do the early entry stuff at Frozen, not Remy.

Neither Remy nor MMRR bothered me, but honestly if you don't want to ride it you aren't missing anything spectacular. It's cute, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I would go with that game plan, stick with early entry Frozen. Getting queasy first thing is not a good way to start your day.
