How does rain in general affect the parks in January?

We are going January 15-18. I know there will probably be rain then. A little rain for a Utahn is fine but how much does it affect outdoor rides at that time of year? The outdoor rides we’re interested are would be Matterhorn, Alice (there’s that one portion that’s outside), Thunder, Splash, Grizzly, RSR, and Incredicoaster (I know some of these rides might be down when we go). Do these rides close in the rain and if so, how long do they typically stay closed?

It will affect RSR the most. That ride is about as sensitive as a foot stepping on a Lego.

Other rides may go down for a little bit, but not the whole day. Expect Splash and Grizzly to be in their refurbishment time.

Haunted Mansion or Small World will be down for overlay removal (first Haunted, then Small, usually about 12-14 days each if I remember correctly). Of course, those aren't affected by the weather

Just a reminder--bring fresh shoes and extra socks. Nothing worse that wet shoes with wet socks at Disneyland. Blisters and chafing, oh my!

According to the DLR website, it looks like IASWH is going down to remove the overlay first this time -- it goes down on Jan. 7th. Snow White goes down then, too, according to the Parks Blog.

And don't be too sure about rain next month -- last January was pretty unusual for SoCal -- definitely not the norm for us!
