How does priority seating work?

I'm staying at HRH next week. Can someone exlpain how priority seating works for hotel guests? Which restaurants? How do I make arrangements?

Also, can resrevations be made in advance for any restaurants? Do I contact the restaurant directly or is there a central number?

When we were there last year all you needed to do was show your room key at the restaurant and you would automatically get priority seating. It was not good for the weekend though. Not sure if the policy has changed this year. We called Margaritaville directly last year (googled the number) and made a reservation (priority seating) time two weeks before we left home. We will be doing the same thing this year. You can also call a number from the hotel room in the morning (number will be in the info in the room) and make a priority seating time for that day.

Just adding on to what you said...there is also a kiosk located across from the theater in CityWalk where you can make reservations.

Great info about showing your room key at the Hard Rock, we would like to eat there (staying at HRH) but not sure what time so wouldn`t like to commit to a booking.

If anyone has been recently and the system had changed, would appreciate any info.

I have never found showing room key will get you moved that far up the wait, especially if the original wait is long. At margaritaville it was 2 hours + last July, and with the room key was 1hr 30 mins, i like Margaritaville but there are many good places to eat at Citywalk. like damo said use the Kiosk on the day for reservations ,if you really want a particular restaurant

I`m sure I have also read somewhere that you can book the Hard Rock Cafe over the internet. Don`t suppose anyone has tried this?

Each hotel also has concierge desk that should also be able to help make dinner reservations at Citywalk.

Oh, and two places that don't accept priority seating with your hotel card are Emeril's and Bubba Gumps.
