How does Paddlefish compare to Fulton's?

We absolutely loved Fultons. How does the new restaurant compare? King crab legs were our favorite. Are they as good now?

I don't have an answer, but wanted to see opinions as well. I plan on one last La Nouba show in December and am considering Paddlefish as my ADR that night.

We're waiting until our Nov 2017 trip to find out.... too new right now for our April trip.
Our metric: Will they go off menu and serve us a great deal of shellfish? Alaskan Crab AND a tail? We expect to get charged well for all of this.... it's something Fulton's did.
Today? Just don't know....

I'm seeing very "mixed" reviews on "open-table" with the biggest complaint being portion size for the price they charge. There was a post comparing to Fultons and being disappointed. I think if you go without expectations you may have good results.

This makes perfect sense. A "Shellfish" Restaurant, regardless of decor, has a fundamental problem:

SHELLFISH is wild game. It's expensive. So the menu is typically fussed over to give you just enough shellfish to avoid complaints, without terrifying you with the bill. Hence? Our concern (and desire) for Paddlefish to go off-menu, sell us a LOAD of shellfish, and allow us to PAY them for it - WELL.

Fulton's would do this. They did it often, we never left hungry, and our typical bill for 2 was very close to $280, plus Wine, Tax, and 20% tip. We also never left feeling we had been overcharged... Shellfish is EXPENSIVE - it's wild game.

We currently have no data on the current state of this Restaurant..... we won't be booking until 11-2017, AFTER we get answers from the owners concerning their willingness to go off menu.
