How Does Overstock coupon work?

Has anyone used the links that say you get X amount off of your Overstock order as opposed to a coupon code? When I click on the link and go there, it tells me that I will get 12% off my entire order and $1 shipping and that it will show up on the Billing and Shipping page. But when I get to that point, there is no discount and only the $1 shipping showing up. Help! I was going to order Little Mermaid and POTC.

I got my own answer from Overstock!

In order for the discount to work, you cannot place media only (dvd, cd, etc) into your cart. You must put something else in the cart with the media to trigger the 12%.

So now I have to figure out if there is something else that I want!!

Yep, that's what happened to me. I used the link on your site last month to shop at Overstock. I bought a 2007 Zatch Bell calendar for my son. I got the percent discount. It charged me media shipping, not the $1. It still was a good price even with shipping, so I ordered.

I'll never understand why Overstock will let you order something bigger for $1 shipping, but if it's a media mail shipping item you don't get the reduced shipping.
