How does non DVC member check reservation??

I am trying to figure out how a non DVC member can check on a reservation that has been made by a DVC member.

I am renting pts to a non DVC member and the reservation is still in my name until full payment is received. But of course the renting party is wanting to verify the reservation but when they call the DVC # Disney won't let them check because they are not a member.

Can you call the regular reservation # and check that way?

Any help is appreciated

Nope. You can fax them a copy of the reservation confirmation. I have heard of some people being successful setting up a conference call. Member Services won't talk to your renter otherwise.

When I recently rented points I was able to call and verify the reservation but I think my name was already on it at that point? Is that the difference here? If the renters name is on it they can check?

Go ahead and place the reservation in your guest's name and provide them the confirmation number. There is no risk to you to do so.

DVC will verify the reservation if their name is on it, but will not give them any information if it is not in their name.

The main Disney reservation line has no insight into DVC bookings (and vice-versa).

Definetly put their name on the resrevation.I have never heard of or had my name on the reservation until final payment.I am surprised they are even renting from you if your name is on the ressie

I have rented twice in the past and have always had the reservation made in my name and have been able to call and verify.
