If my wailist doesn't come through before the end of Nov, my BIL will be in 2 different studios and then a 2 bedroom for the remaining 3 nights with us all at BWV (we're in a one-bedroom the first 2 nights).

How does the BWV handle his 2 moves and my one move? Could someone who has moved a couple of times in one trip help me understand so I can explain it to my BIL?

He's never been to Disney before (or a big vacation for that matter) and I want to make everything as nice and simple for him as possible.

He'll be going from a Boardwalk view studio the first night to a preferred view studio on the second night and then the 2 bedroom for the last 3 nights...(unless that 2 bedroom waitlist comes through!!)

Could someone please post their experiences? Does he pack up each morning and bring his luggage to the front desk? Could he bring it to my room? Then when we get back from the park, he checks to see if his room is available? Is he checking in all over again?

Thanks so much. I'm really stressing about this trip as it's our first time 'home' and it's my BIL's first big vacation ever! I really wish that 2 bedroom wailist would come through so I don't have to worry/stress anymore!

When I moved from a two bedroom to a studio t BWV, I called bell services. They picked up my luggage in the AM and brought it up to my new room later that day. Or he could bring it over to your room.

I did have to check in again to the new room.

As long as everyone doesn't mind moving it all to the other room. And then you will be on your schedule and if they need/want anything it will be easy to retrieve. Unless you like tipping bell services or do not want them in your room, that is what I would do.
Yes, he is checking in all over again but you can do it when ever you want to. Just take care of it on your way out to do something and get your new room keys and then you can call from any WDW phone to check on the status. When your room is ready they will give you the number and the new room keys will then work and then you won't have to stop back at the desk. Then you come back and move everything. We have moved I think almost every trip, not always by choice. It's a pain but not too bad esp. if you have at least one room eveyone can share. We had 9 of us on a rainy day in July in our studio. Talk about too close for comfort. We promptly moved 7 of them when their room was ready. Good luck.

that is correct you would have to move out of your room by check out 11:00am. i would go down to the front desk before you check out at 11:00 am , and pre check in your next room,it may be ready and then you can call bell service and just let them know you are just switching rooms and when they come pick up your luggage then tell them your new room # and they will take your luggage right there. but if your room is not ready still bell service before check out and they will store youe luggage until your room is ready. when you get to your new room call for your luggage, bell service can not deliver your luugage until you are in your room and waiting for it. in the mean time if your luggage is in storage and you need something just ask the bell service and they will show you were your luggage is. have fun!;)
