How does MM work for the rides?

headed down tomrrrow! So Excited. That said, this is my first time with the magic bands and MM.

Do I have to go to a desk after I get off the ride and tell them I want my picture and have them scan by braclet? (like previously when I wanted to purchase a ride pircture?) Or is there some automated kiosk to attach it(like some of the old rides used to have?) Or do I scan when I get on the ride (similar to the way TT2.0 remembers your built car)?

Do I get all the pictures for free, or do we have to pay per ride to get them?

You visit the ride kiosk, tell them your ride number and you're memory maker and they add it.

Do you have to be them emery maker to get them? Say my patents take one of my girls on x ride but I am the memory maker and in another park. Can they get the picture? Or am I the only one who can get it.

If you have everyone connected to your Disney Experience account under family and friends, anyone can use their Magic Bands for pictures. We used it a few weeks ago for a group of eleven with no problems at all. Often we were in different parks and everyone could get their own pictures done. It was much easier than using Photopass cards. The rides are the biggest advantage as anyone can claim and scan their Magic Band at the end of the ride.

I have not yet ordered MM but plan to for my trip in June. I will be staying offsite so (presumably) will not have a MB but will have an RFID card. I will link the MM in MDE.

Do I need a separate card for MM for ride scanning purposes?

I'm familiar with how PP works because we've used that before but this MM has got me somewhat confused.

It works basically the same. You can use any PhotoPass card.

If I don't pre-purchase the MM (I plan on purchasing it after the fact) will I still be able to get ride photos on it?


Like with the photopass you had your card but didn't have to pay until you got home to order your pictures will it work the same way?
