How does Missoin Space Work?

I just can't figure out how they make you feel like your being thrusted up in the air or weightless. I assume by the look of the ride that it is spun, then maybe the seats are turned sideways. I don't know, help me out.

It spins you (centrifugal force). Kind of like the Haley's Comet fair rides.

I don't know but I like it. My 7 year old loves the ride , and she cried and pleaded the first time not to take her, now we can't get her off it.

Each group of 4 seats faces the center of a circle around which the spinning occurs. In addition your body may be tilted forward or backward by the seat assembly and cabin. I am not sure whether the entire circle sketched out by the ten or so cabins remains horizontal at all times or tilts up as in the Round Up amusement ride.

There is a difference in how you feel if you are facing the center of the circle compared with facing in the direction of rotation (forward or backward) as on a merry go round or Himalya ride. Given the speed of rotation and the amount of G force imparted by the centrifugal force the ride instructions say to face the video screen (towards the center of the circle) at all times.
