How does Kohl's Cash work?

I've never shopped at Kohl's before, but just ordered things online for our upcoming cruise. I was awarded Kohl's cash, but I know little about it.
I know I can use it during a certain time, do I have to spend a certain amount? Also, I am going to return a few items because I ordered them in different sizes to check fit. Will I loose the value of my KC?

yes, you would lose the value of your Kohl's cash. the best thing to do is an even exchange. Now the way this works is - you have to find an item that matches the original price (not sale price) of what you are returning. it doesn't matter what the items are. For instance, today I returned a pair of men's fleece lounge wear pants. the original ticketed price was $24.00. I found a boys, button Tony Hawke shirt (sz 5) for my grandson with a ticketed price of $24.00. No problem, even exchange done!

Thanks! I'll see if I can find anything when I take back those items.As you can see, I don't shop there much. Can never really find anything. Everyone loves it but for the life of me every time I go I rarely find what I want or a good price.
