How does it work...

when we have an 11:10 ADR for H&V breakfast but they "stop" breakfast at 11:20 and start lunch at 11:40

I just want to make sure about the character interaction and if we'll be rushed eating. I understand from reading other posts that the food here can really vary. We're going because DD loves Jojo (2nd birthday theme) and Little Einstein (3rd birthday theme) so this is a "must do" so any info that can help us with this would be great

Is the lunch a character meal?

Last year we had a 11:30 reservation at Hollywood and Vine - we were told by the waitress that they just finished serving breakfast - and they'll be setting out the lunch items ---- so, basically the buffet consisted of BOTH breakfast items and lunch items.....it was actually quite nice to have the wide selection.

So, I would prepare your family for a 'brunch' type of thing - where they'll have both breakfast and lunch items to choose from.

I LOVED the 11:30 reservation at H&V - it was not very crowded and we had great character interaction....and since we were there at rope drop - it was the perfecting timing for a air conditioned break.

Oh! by the way ---- we this was a do over reservation - meaning I have an ADR for 11:30 at H&V this upcoming trip....so, that should tell you how happy we were with this the last trip.

That is what we thought would happen but it's nice to hear from someone who's done it! We were also thinking it would be a great break from the heat as well since we are a rope drop kind of family- thanks for your help!

Any time a buffet changes from one meal to another, the dishes are just replaced with something else. So, from breakfast to lunch, the scrambled egg bin would be taken out and replaced with, say, macaroni and cheese. You just keep eating. When we ate at the Biergarten and it went from lunch to dinner, one lunch dish was taken out and it's replacement was something they only served at dinner. I didn't even notice because I didn't eat the lunch dish and wasn't interested in the dinner dish.

Everything else stays the same. There's no bell that sounds and says "breakfast is over, you people clear out, make way for the lunch crowd!".
