Has anyone ever used the internet connection in room at Pop Century? :surfweb:

How does it work?

Am I right in saying you just connect your laptop/PDA via the cable they provide?

What happens next, do you need to have a specific ISP?? Are you given instructions?

Would like to use it so I can do on-line checkin on the way back and I'm not very good with the technical side of computers and the Internet. :scared1:

Thanks.

three is a lan cabe hung up near the safe in a cloth bag.The conection is under where the table is and $10 a day

Thanks Paulh

Has anyone had experience of using it?

After you have connected the cable, what happens next? How does the dial-up work and do you need to do/know anything in particular to use it? My ISP is tesco.net, and I'm 100% positive they won't have that in the US!!!

I don't know about POP but the hotel we stayed in last year the connection was by a LAN cable and reception gave us the password to use which we keyed in once a screen came up and that was that.

I was able to send and receive email through Tesco too :)

Thanks edinburghlass

I hope its as straight forward as that. I am NOT good at technical stuff to say the least! :rolleyes1

Thanks, all help welcome. What I was meaning was that I was sure that I wouldn't be able to use my Tesco dial up connection whilst over there. Another thing I'm not very good at is getting my point across clearly.

no, definately not!!:scared1:

You should just be able to plug a laptop in though and still use your original homepage ie AOL, Blueyonder etc or the hotel may have a homepage
