Our first day at DL will be on Sunday June 24th. We plan to be there before opening and we will head to Tomorrowland to do Buzz first and grab 3 FP for it when we ride. Then we will ride Nemo (assuming it's open). After that we will ride Autopia and get FP for later if our FP time window is available. Then I will get one Space Mountain Rider Swap pass b/c I'm the only one who will ride it (dh and 3 year old won't). Then we'll skip HISTA for now and head to Adventureland to get one Indiana Jones FP and a rider swap. We will ride Jungle Cruise and POTC before going through Tarzan's Treehouse. Then we'll ride the Haunted Mansion and get one Splash Mountain FP and a rider swap. Next we'll do Winnie the Pooh and get one BTMRR rider swap. What time do you think it will be after accomplishing all of this? We'll probably do lunch next and maybe head back to the hotel for an early nap.

What would you suggest doing after our nap?

Sounds good. Here are the only problems I see. You have to actually get on Space Mountain to get a baby swap pass, but that will be good so you can save it for later and ride it again that day. Also when you first get in, the lines are short for a while and the Buzz fastpasses will most likely not be giving any out first thing. Sundays last June, we couldn't get a fastpass for Buzz until about 1 hour after opening because it had less than a 10 minute wait until then.

Get your BTMRR fastpass on the way over to POTC or Haunted Mansion if available so that you will have a fastpass baby swap combo for you and DH. For Splash, you can get your fastpass but you can't get your rider swap until you actually go on the ride. They make you go past him in line, so you won't be able to get it until you use your fastpass later, if that makes sense.

Other than that, it sounds great. We do the same, whoever isn't on Splash takes little ones on WTP, same with Indy and the Treehouse, that way the little ones aren't always sitting waiting for older ones to get off rides. It works out nice and you should be able to get quite a bit done before your break which will leave you free to hit your favorites again later!!!

Sorry I forgot, I would say you can accomplich all this if you don't stop/detour much by about noon. This is similar to our touring plan and then we grab a bite at French Market while waiting for our Splash Mountain fastpass time to come available. Then we hit that and leave the park, usually getting back to our hotel about 1:30.

After a nap/swim, we head back to CA around 5pm till close, then back over to DL. Bug's Life at closing time at CA is one of my favorite things. I like it dark in Bug's Land with all the lights, and the last half hour the park is open, we usually get to stay on rides in there 3 or 4 times each without getting off.

No critique here, except maybe where's time for the Matterhorn? BTW--I'm extremely jealous and want to go back to Disneyland NOW! Your plan sounds heavenly!pixiedust:
Have a magical trip!

That's a good plan. We can usually get on Matterhorn about 3 times in the first 25 minutes the park is open!! The lines later in the day can get BAD!

Where would you suggest we start with our afternoon entry into CA? We'll probably try to see the Block Party that day. We might also try to do the parade. But I think we'll save the other night time stuff at DL for the next two nights b/c the next morning will be an early one with EE into DL. I know I read that the block party is around 5:30 right? Where would you suggest we be to watch it? And what time is the parade usually at? Any suggestions on places to sit to watch the night time parade?

BPB start time is generally 5:15, and we like to be right at the entrance walkway toward soarin, but looking towards the sun fountain. That is where Woody and Buzz stop! Another good place is right after you walk in facing the sun fountain kinda by the entrance to to toy shop. This way you are at the first stop and you don't have to wait for the parade to stop 2 or 3 times before it gets to you!

Then after the walkway is clear, we head to Monsters and TOT, possibly Muppets but after sitting for the parade, the kids usually dont' wanna sit again right away. Then we head out of the backlot and over to the Pier for the carousel, Jumpin Jellyfish (40" so I don't think you'll be able) the Golden Zephyr is fun for kids. Then we head over towards Grizzly (going on if not too cold out) If it's still light our you can hit the Brother Bear area and let him play for a while. If there's still time, I would hit Bug's Land (we really like it at night) and then I would get some snacks/dinner and find a place for the 8:45 EP while DH and I took turns single riding on Soarin until the parade starts.

Then we head back to DL as CA usually closes at 9pm after the parade!

For the second half of the day (after nap/swim) I figured we'd head to CA and go to Muppetvision 3-D and Monsters Inc. after getting FP for TOT and Soarin (I'm the only one who will ride those two rides). Then we'd head back to Soarin to find a spot for the Block Party Bash. Then we'd use the FP and check out the animation building. After that we'll do the attractions at A Bug's Land. Then we'll eat dinner and find a spot for the Electric Light Parade before heading back for a semi-early bedtime to get ready for EE into DL the next day. How does that sound?

I'd actually hit Nemo first since it will be BRAND new and will have HUGE lines.

after getting FP for TOT and Soarin

Use the Single rider for Soarin and for these rides if you want: California Screamin, Grizzly River Run, Mulholland Madness, Maliboomer
