How does Disney handle glitches

I have a question. This morning I was pricing out our trip for May and got a quote for the Contemporary Resort for the discounted room rate PLUS the gift card. (the page says: Jan - Jun Magic Your Way Plus Deluxe Dining Plus a $750 Disney Gift Card) I am assuming it was a glitch because when I clicked "book" I got a "system unavailable" error. The thing is, I printed the quote out and saved it as a PDF before I got the error. Do you think that there is any way Disney will honor it?

No way. It does say that the quotes are only quotes and the rates may not be available when you book. Sorry to burst your bubble.

In the terms and conditions of booking it basically says any mistakes made even after booking disney can change your rate. I booked a trip last year and there was a glitch someone posted about here on the dis. You clicked a few different things and ended up with a room discount and free dining. I figured if I payed in full disney would be out of luck. Everything I had said I had the room and had dining, the next day I got another email and the dining wasn't mentioned, called disney on the phone and they said tough.

So you paid in full and they still changed your pkg after the fact? Wow! You would think WDW should be responsible for their reservation system? Oh well, it would have been nice for you if it would have went through.

This has come up a few times in the past and for the most part ... no, they won't honor stuff like this.

Remember, the reservation agent has to be able to pull up the same offer. Since it was a glitch, that's highly unlikely.

There's a disclaimer in writing about NOT honoring glitches in the online system. I booked something two years ago that I thought had FD and lo and behold when I got my documents, the dining wasn't mentioned. I hadn't done anything to cause the glitch and didn't even realize it was one. I called because I didn't see the DDP listed and was also told "tough". I was, however, allowed to cancel w/o penalty even though I was in the penalty period.---Kathy
