How does Disney do the musters?

A couple of times when we had muster drills on deck, the CMs have been very accommodating to anyone who could not stay there for the entire duration for health or other reasons. They just scanned the key cards, and let the folks go - in some cases, even letting them enter through otherwise roped-off doors.

I absolutely understand that but if I have to stand for 15-30 minutes, I will be in bed the next two days.
