I can only count 8:
2 kings,
queen sleeper sofa,
2 twins

We'll have 9 staying in a 3 bedroom villa. It there a trundle or something in the bedroom with the twin beds? I thought the reservation said the three bedrooms slept 8-10????

We reserved in CP, not the Grandvillas....

king bed in the master, queen sleeper sofa in the living, 2 twins beds, 1 queen and a double sleeper sofa.

4 - king bed and queen sleeper sofa
2 -twin beds
4 - queen and double sleeper sofa???

Actually I believe the regular CP sleeps 8 and the Grand Villas sleep 10?

I think there is a trundle in the room with the twin beds, but you may want to call and ask.

At CPR the 3 bedroom only sleeps 8. We stayed there last week and got remodeled unit (very nice). The trundle rolls out under a single twin bed in that room. I have also stayed in the CPGVs 3 bedroom and possibly it has different configurations but ours slept 10. Queen bed and fold out in lockout unit as other poster referenced. CPGV's seemed a little bigger in the bedroom with the twins and more space for food in kitchen (bigger), BUT, unless you really need the extra sleeping arrangements, I would go for CPR. Everything seemed brand new with the renovations ...... from sheets to pillows to mattresses and its cheaper on HotelKingdom. I think the last two buildings will go down for renovations in January so if you are booking January and out, you will get a remodeled room. I also think the rates will go up and CPR will become more popular to book so I would lock in a reservation with HotelKingdom soon if you know your dates. I'm not 100% but I think CP/CPGVs reservations thru HK are fairly static so don't surcharge for busier times of the year ....... but they may fill up those times quickly.

Well, we've already booked our rooms thru hotelkingdom. I am SO confused about that 2nd bedroom.....does anyone know for sure if there are 2 twins AND a trundle (therefore sleeping 3 in the 2nd bedroom)?????

DH will just call them I guess. We told them at the reservation that we will have 9.

Thanks...

If it is CPR and not Villas the 2nd Bedroom is small, with 2 twin beds, one of which does pull out as a trundle but you would not be able to walk (need to climb over other bed) to get to the other twin. Also you would have to pull mattress off the one for the trundle. Stayed here last year and have booked this year.

1 twin in that room with a trundle, sleeps 8. If you have little ones can get 3 in a king or a fold out. There are enough blankets and cushions from couches to make a bed on the floor for someone if you needed. The 3br at CPGVs sleeps 10 if you need a bed for everyone. If enough days out they may be able to switch for just the change fee ($10 or $20 depending on when you booked). good luck

We've been considering CP rather than CPGV to save some $$...thank you for the info about the beds in the 2nd bedroom. Sounds as though they took out a twin and replaced the other with a trundle to save space in a small room. I think we'll be better off in a 3 bdrm after all. Glad to hear this resort (and the new renovations) is still getting good reviews!

This link will give you a good idea of what the condo looked like. If need to sleep more than 8, I can see going with CPGVs. Its when considering CPGV 2br that would push me up to CPR 3br. Thru HK, its cheaper to get the 3br at CPR than the 2br at CPGV ......... might be worth it to get "newer CPGV" in the past but with the CPR remodeling ....... CPR is now "newer".

Thanks for posting, 26555. I agree that the renovations make CP very appealing now! Actually, we're taking my MIL on our next trip (which will make 5 of us total) and I don't want to relegate her to the sofa sleeper or a twin bed for 10 or more nights! Nor do DH and I want to give up the master bedroom, LOL!! So the CP 3 bdrm appears to be the best solution for us. My MIL will have her own space which will be great.

Now we just have to figure out when to go! The original plan was to go in early April, but some unexpected expenses have come up and it's become REALLY hard to come up with the full hotel payment in advance (about $1000, going through Hotelkingdom). We may be pushing it back to next Dec.

Crud....I guess we'll be putting someone on the floor AND using the awkward trundle. At hotelkingdom they said the CPR 3 bdrm sleeps 8-10, and we assumed everyone would fit. I really like the amenities better at CPR as opposed to CPGV, not to mention the remodel. *sigh*

Thanks for the info.

Okay, wait. IN the pics you posted in that link, it says the matresses on the bed with trundle in the 2nd bedroom are both 'full sized'. So if they took out two twins and replaced them with one full size bed with a full size trundle, then we could still fit everyone. They'll be cramped for sure, but at least everyone will have a bed! That must be how they can say 'sleeps 8-10'.

The plot thickens.....

I wish I had a picture of that 2nd bedroom from when we stayed there 2 yrs ago. It was very small, I can't see how they could ever put a full size bed in there. The twins formed an "L" so that if the trundle was pulled out it was a room filled with all bed! I remember the closet hard to get into because the bed was in front of it. There weren't any windows in it either, just a blocked door to the hallway. It worked out fine for my 2 kids, but I wouldn't want to put 3 in there. I actually helped my brother-in-law book there tonight for a trip next month! Hopefully they get a renovated unit, ours was a bit dated 2 yrs. ago- but heck, for only $70/nt you can't beat it!

Okay, just looked around at the descriptions of the rooms at both CP and CPGV as listed on the Hotelkingdom website, and this is what I found:

Cypress Pointe: Studio--Max. Occupancy, 3; Max. Adults, 2
2 Bdrm--Max. Occupancy, 7; Max. Adults, 6
3 Bdrm--Max. Occupancy, 9; Max. Adults, 8

CPGV: 1 Bdrm--Max. Occupancy, 4
2 Bdrm--Max. Occupancy, 6
3 Bdrm--Max. Occupancy, 10
*For CPGV the Max. Occupancy and Max. Adults allowed were the same

So if you need to accomodate 10, you'd need to go to CPGV.

We just returned 2 weeks ago from CP and the second bedroom has 1 twin bed with a twin sized(mattress) trundel underneath it. Very small room too. Hope this helps. :flower1:

I am considering Cypress Pointe Resort also for a family trip next year. Not only because of pretty good rates through hotelkingdom, but also because some family members are into timesharing through RCI--hopefully they will be able to trade their timeshare into the resort also.
