How does "check-in" work?

We've purchased points from a DVC member, and are now on the happy verge of heading to the World!

Can someone please explain if check in is similar to that when we go to another WDW resort (except for the fact that we've already paid for the stay, this time)? Will we be expected to give a credit card imprint, even though we've paid (the DVC member of course)?

"Our" DVC member has already requested a water view for us, as well as non-smoking - would I dare "press my luck" by requesting a second or third floor unit as well?

Thanks - we'd hate to look like a bunch of bumpkins (although undoubtedly we will, even if we have all of the info!)

Check in the just the same. Only its way better because when you arrive they will all say, "Welcome home!" You can leave a credit card on file for expenses if you want.

If you want to use your room key for charging around the world you give a CC
at check-in. Leaving a CC also gives you Express Check Out. The night before your departure a statement of all your charges will be slipped under your door. If you have no questions then you don't need to stop at the front desk you are already checked out.

Thanks for your responses - we are getting super excited and really can't wait to stay at OKW!! :woohoo:

Don't worry too much about your views. If you are in anything bigger than a studio, you will have a great view of golf course, woods and water.
