How does B2B work?

On our recent B2B on the Wonder, our stateroom host told me we were free to come and go to our stateroom as we wished. We didn't do so around the time others would be congregating by the ropes as I do think that would be confusing to others. Still it was nice to drop off our things in the cabin. I intended to start laundry at that time, too, but was told the laundry room was closed for cleaning.

We booked another B2B on our first cruise and then a third cruise on the second cruise for a total of three/cabin.
You can't book B2B cruises as one onboard booking now. Time was you could. You can now only book one future cruise per cruise.

Is that a very recent change? My experience was in February of this year on the Wonder.

I believe it started when they started the placeholder option. Like last April (?) I think. Now, maybe you got a nice CM who went ahead and did it, but it's not supposed to happen that way now.

Mathgeek, totally off topic, but love your name!

Aerin, BS in mathematics :)

Or perhaps the policy has changed again? Or perhaps we were allowed to book a B2B on that cruise since we were on a B2? If it isn't allowed, I would think the system would not permit it to be booked.

I'm not sure it's the system that doesn't allow it. It could be that the CMs just know it's not supposed to be done. Don't know for sure. All I know is that some people were not allowed to book B2B cruises on the same cruise and reported it here.

If you are switching rooms, typically you pack and leave your bags in your Cruise 1 stateroom. After you leave the ship, they will move your bags to your Cruise 2 stateroom.

If you keep the same rotation, your 1st night of each cruise will be in a different dining room.

When we changed rooms, we were directed to have our bags ready by 8:00 am on turnaround day for the room host to pick up outside our door. When we opened the door to put the bags out, the room host was waiting.

Thanks for asking these questions, we just booked our first B2B this week and I was wondering all the procedures as well.
We have the same room for both cruises as well, makes it so easy.
I have seen several people booked the same 2 cruises as we did, so I have a feeling we will be a big crew re-boarding, should be fun.

You're welcome! Which ones are you booked for lorimay?

On our last B2B we wished to book another B2B. During our first week we booked the first week, paid the deposit etc. The CM also added the second week and "saved" it. We spent quite a bit of time with them sorting out staterooms that were avialable for both weeks in the Cat we wanted. As well as pricing different combinations of staterooms.
We had to go back during the 1st half of our 2nd week to confirm and pay the deposit for the 2nd week. But all the information was already in the system so it was a very quick visit.

Great news!

Thought of another question.

6. On the 2nd embarkation day after I've been let back on the ship, can I get into my room before everyone else, or do I have to wait until 1:30 when they open up the staterooms? Just want to know how much I'll need to take with me when I leave my room in the morning. (And I do have the same room for both.)

We were allowed to come and go from our stateroom the entire time - although based on comments by others this might be at the discretion of the stateroom host. Ours seemed to have made cleaning our room a priority and told us we were welcome to come and go.
