How does add-on and UY work?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, there are about 1,000 threads about add-ons.

We own 220 SSR points/August UY. I am seriously considering adding on another 120 with the incentive. How does this work?

Will my UY be the same--August? If I call this week when will the 120 points be added to my account? Will they be 2005 UY points or will they come August 2006?

Will my account now just read 340 SSR points/August UY, or will they remain seperate and I'll have to specify where I want the points to come from when we use them?

The add on points will have the same use year as your initial contract. You will get 2005 points. You will be allowed to bank them if you so choose. The points will be added to your account as soon as Disney gets your deposit.

You can think of your membership as one contract of 340 SSR points for making reservations and banking. The only time you'd have to differentiate between the contracts is if you want to sell one or the other of the contracts. MS takes care of eerything else "behind the scenes". Very easy for you. (I have same deal - one contract and an add on, but for the BWV).

No need to feel stupid! We're glad to help and we all had the same questions at one time or another. FWIW, even though MS is closed, it is possible that your guide is working today.
