Well, the subject field really says it all. if I were to transfer points to you, how does that process work? :)

I would like to know this as well. We sent the paperwork for BLT back this week and would like to have extra points for a GV for a one off vacation. We have 10 ppl going, so that would be ideal for us.

When someone transfers points in or out you need the member number of both accounts. When I transfered a point into someone elses account last year, I just needed their account information when I called MS.

I am guessing you can only transfer points that have not been banked, correct?

Correct. You cannot transfer borrowed points, either. They must be current use year points.

They must be points that are in their origonal currnet use year, but they do not have to be from your current use year, they may be from your next UY also.

Also remember -- especially if you think you want to transfer points for a couple of different times -- that DVC only allows one transfer per year per year.

MS does not charge a fee to transfer points between member accounts.

Transferred points retain their original home resort and UY so if you want more points to use at the 11-month window, the points must be for the resort you want to book. For example, if you wanted to book BCV at the 11-month window, you need to transfer in BCV points. If you will be using the points to book 7 months or less from check in then any points will do.

That makes perfect sense. :)

So MS does not need to have both members on the phone at the same time to confirm the transfer? It is just based on word of mouth to MS?

The receiving member does not need to be on the phone with MS; only the member transferring the points over (they will tell MS to transfer points from their account into member xyz's account).

:)
