How do you use Visa Reward Dollars to buy park tickets?

Hi I hope this is the right board for this post.

So my mother has had the disney visa for many years and some of the points she has are going to expire so she wants to use them to help pay for tickets for WDW. In the past we've only ever used them for merchandise purchases at the parks and the disney store. How do we go about redeeming them for tickets? Do we just get the redemption card and use it like a gift card online? Or do the tickets have to be bought onsite?

You can use it online. Once the tickets are in your cart, go to checkout. There will be options to pay with a GC, CC or your Disney Rewards Card (points need to be transferred to a Rewards Card before they can be used). It works just like a GC. If you do not have enough Rewards Dollars, then an additional form of payment will be needed.
