How do you unwind?

When it's been "one of those days" how do you relax at the end of the day? Music? T.V.? A bath? Phoning a friend? Wine? ;) Yoga? :confused3

Watch a little t.v., post on here, and take a long hot shower. Once I get out of the shower I usually feel very relaxed.

I'm a firm believer that a long hot shower (or bath if you prefer) can wash away a lot of stress. I try playing with the family and cats; watch TV (if anything's on that I care for) or read. One thing I try to do is leave whatever happened outside the house before I enter. Not always easy, but always necessary to family peace.

Take my doggie on a nice walk - something about getting outside clears my head, then, of course, the DIS. :flower:

Tigger_Magic,

I'm like that with work. Regardless how bad or good that day was, once I walk out the door for the day whatever happened is left at the office.

I love to take a walk, read a favorite magazine or book, have a glass of wine or hot tea, take a nap, or burn a scented candle. After my son goes to bed I try to relax and do something I enjoy. I hope in the new year I can do more things relaxing and for myself instead of spending so much time watching TV or on the internet.

Each day as I get ready to leave, I open a desk drawer and dust my hands into it. It's my way of dropping off "work" and leaving it there until the next work day. It's kinda odd to some people, but it works for me. Just a physical act that helps me let things go so I don't dump it on the family. (Not that it always works. )

Read, surf the 'net, write, and if I'm feeling stressed beyond my limits, I'll sneak a cigarette and grab some alcohol. :teeth: That's a rarity, though.

We just re-did our whole kitchen/LR/DR area, new everything. My DH and I like to have a glass of wine and sit and listen to music in this room. Very relaxing!

:rotfl: I told my husband my New Years resolution for this year was to take up smoking and drinking so I could cut back on some of my stress! :goodvibes

A glass of wine and the boards, a glass of wine and a bubble bath, a glass of wine and a book, a glass of wine and a movie. (You see a pattern here? :rotfl: )

And sometimes, if I am really stressed, I like to go buy Star Magazine and read it while I am in my bubble bath and drinking my wine. Nothing like seeing stars without their makeup or read about their dramatic break-ups to make you feel better. :teeth:

I go home and get involved with cooking dinner for the family - I find it relaxing.

I like to watch tv after putting my girls to bed.

I yell at somebody. It makes me feel good.
