We too have a tendency to treat it better than home. But we feel it is a part of our ownership duties. Now with this in mind, we are on vacation, so everything is not neat and tidy. We do make the beds every day, but not as good as mousekeeping would. If I see a issue with a door lock being messed up or something that a carpenter can usually fix, I fix it. Thats just me!
One time, during our 1st stay at VWL, the bathroom door lock wouldnt engage into the keeper. So I called maint. The guy came, worked a little for 20 mins or so, then told me he would have to order a new lock. The door was a little warped and the keeper just needed readjusting to allow the door to stay locked. So I fixed it. Door locked, no new lock needed. Might have saved a whole penny on dues
