How do YOU tour EPCOT?

Oh--one more thing OP...unlike other attractions, the Soarin' cycle time is slow. (Don't know what else to call it.). It can take a bit to come out. Our group (there were 13 of us at the time), took them about 30 minutes to get through the line and attraction. They cited no actual reason for the delay. So I presume that it is not a quick in and out thing. I would be sure to enter the line earlier in the window and allow buffer.

Perhaps others experiences have taken much less time. But I just wanted to toss that out there, just in case.

JimmyV, I knew I liked you. You can join my evil organization anytime. (evil laugh in background)
Nice try with the Beverly. Contrary to how it might seem by my post, this isn't my first time at the EPCOT rodeo :)

I think I am alone in this..... But I think your plan sounds very good. The last several times I have been in EPCOT there has been a line for space ship earth. Not just at opening but all through the day.

Thank you. My past experience with Spaceship Earth has been pretty much walk on, but I have been hearing the lines are getting longer.

Lisa loves Pooh, my thoughts exactly, what do you replace it with? We're only FP'ing SE and Nemo because we can, not because we want/need to. Kids not interested in Mission Space, and we have FP for TT on our 2nd day. Thanks for the tip on Sum of All Thrills, we'll check it out this time.

We used a FP+ on the Epcot Character spot (DD was too short for TT & Soarin'). posted wait time was 20 minutes I believe. Just another FP+ option.

Go early. No FP and it does not move people very quickly. A "short" line of a dozen to 20 people can easily add up to 45 minutes.

Dang! I try every chance I get! Maybe the kids don't remember.

SSE was really strange when we were there in November. We actually waited 20 minutes in the FP+ line!!! The SB line was around the back of the building, no idea what was going on, this was around 11:30am too. I've also seen ridiculous SB waits at Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, never thought I'd see the day.

Looks like a great Epcot day! Something kind of like what we would do. On our arrival day last year we got to the park at 12:30pm. We did not have to worry about tiers for our fp's the whole trip because of a glitch that happened... So I scheduled SSE, Test Track and Soarin for our 3 fp's. I actually like fp for SSE - the other options are not worthy of a FP either but SSE is a classic! SSE was our first ride, then headed over to the visa card meet and greet at Innoventions. Used FP's for Test Track, headed over to World Showcase and walked around and did Pick a Pearl in Japan. We had a 5:45 ADR at Garden Grill and we scheduled our Soarin FP between 4-5pm to ride before checking in for dinner. Dinner at Garden Grill was fantastic! It was our favorite meal of the whole trip. We headed out after dinner to get much needed sleep from a long first day but it was a great way to explore Epcot. It is my favorite park and I always visit at least 4 times a trip.

This wasn't thanksgiving week was it? or week after? those two weeks are weird for parks all the way around. At least holidays like during Christmas you know it's going to be packed, Thanksgiving, except on Thanksgiving day (it's definitely packed), you never know what you are going to get on any given day..

No it was the first Monday or Tuesday so like November 2 or 3. I was amazed at how packed MK was too

I suspect I'll end up using a FP+ on SE simply because of the limited tier 2 options. For what we want to ride, I think it is the most likely to have a wait.

In my experience, the line pattern at SSE is a little unique because of its position in the park. Some people go right there and others do it a little later in the morning after doing TT and Soarin. The line seems to peak around 11-1 and then drops off pretty dramatically as the crowds start to drift off to WS. If I wanted to ride SSE I would either get there before 10:30, use a FP, or try after about 2.

That's what we do. Our tier 2's are usually Mission Space and SSE.

When doing 2 days at Epcot, I like to do half and half as a PP mentioned, TT side up to Italy on day....Soarin around to Japan on the second day. Or Vice Versa...we hit American adventure on whichever day it fits in best. I also use a FP+ for SSE because I have seen crazy wait times for both SSE and Figment believe it or not.

Day one FP+ SSE, FP+Mission Space and FP+TT. SB wait for Sum of all Thrills at RD, SB wait 3 Cabelleros. TS at Via Napoli. Frozen Norway may change this approach of course.

Day 2FP+ Soarin, FP+Figment and FP+Character Spot. SB waits for The Land and Nemo. Lunch at Coral Reef with Dinner at Tangierine Cafe or Lunch at Sunshine Seasons with Dinner at Chefs De France or Teppan Edo.

We do FW from rope drop to 11:00, then head to World Showcase for lunch and shopping. At some point, we take an afternoon break, and then if we return, it's for dinner in WS. We've done most things in FW on previous trips, so we choose the ones we really want to do, and then truthfully, we kill some time before WS opens. It's not that we don't like FW - we do, but find it fairly easy to do everything before 11:00, including maybe an exhibit at Innoventions and Club Cool.
