It wasn't just the questions. She started out just asking questions, but then she proceeded into making comments to showcase her animal knowledge. I felt like she read all about the tour first and then tried to impress us with her knowledge. THAT was annoying!
Coming out of lurkerdom to say I am LOVING this trip report. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all![]()
The trek looks amazing!!![]()
Exactly, she had know-it-all-itis
I've got a fairly decent fear of heights, but I'd love to do that trek! It just seems so cool!!
I'm determined to get over my fear (a little bit) at least just enough to go to the top of the Eiffel tower in March. I can't go all that way and not do it, right?
I'm considering that tour, but was worried that it was too strenuous. It looks like fun & I do love the AK.
Wow, I didn't even know the Trek existed, but it looks great! Awesome hippo shots! I would love to do that sometime, but I have a hard time finding 3 hours since we only usually hit AK one day out of our trip. I'll have to add it to the list![]()
I just found this trip report....and am going to read it chapter by chapter. (It will give me something to do at work!)
A girls trip to Disney is the BEST!!! I have had a couple girls only trips and am looking forward to doing another one November 27 through December 3, which is still in the planning stage. Not even sure who I am taking with me at this point but I KNOW I AM GOING!!!!
I am looking forward to reading this trip report!!!!
The night before the trek C was asking away questions about her imminent death she was certain to occurHopefully I had relieved some of her anxiety and she was able to sleep
I think we took a cab thinking it would be faster than a bus...or maybe we did the okay we will look to see if a bus is there and if not we are going with a taxi
Our driver was a bit over the top...and obviously doing the talking and not the listening since he did take us to AKL
Ohhhh Chatty Cathy.....more like Annoying Anna!I thought once about pushing her over the edge to the crocodiles but didn't want her to land on any of them. I did however, notice a horsefly (I have been bitten by them on the balcony at AKV so I knew just what it was
) on her ankle. And I didn't tell her.
Sorry. It was hot and she wouldn't stop with the questions.

I absolutely LOVED the trek. I think it was worth the money....around 3 hours and included lunch.
Tracy
Tracy, I wouldn't have told her about the horsefly either!![]()
Great update, MEK. If I showed Mark those pictures of the elephants and how close you were and the mudbath elephant, he would be insisting we go. Maybe now that we're not paying for our resort....I'll have to think about it. Just don't know where we would squeeze it in.
Alright, I'm looking at the pictures from the bridge practically clinging to the arm of my couch. That looks awesomely terrifying. I'm impressed with your 1-armed photography skills, especially while on a bridge like that!
I'm excited to see the contents of your lunch! (It's always about the food with me!)
It would have been terrifying had there not been thick, secure netting making up the entire bridge. Even the planks were really hard not to step directly on. It was a true "Disney bridge", if you know what I mean.No safety issues there!

"Disney bridge"...I like that!!!
