What do you serve? What do you take for convenience? Show me some pictures!

We've tailgated at a couple of Brewers games on the 4th of July. We had pretty much my mom's entire side of the family there so we had a lot to eat! Hot dogs, brats, other sausages, fruit, chips, etc. Don't think I have any pictures though. :guilty:

We've also brought some sort of entertainment like a volleyball, frisbee, or football to play as well.

and...

we take a card table, our gator chairs, a charcoal grill (will eventually upgrade).....we usually take food wise:
premade - coleslaw, cucumber salad, fruit salad, cut cheese and crackers, dip and chips
marinted steak and chicken kabobs to grill.....

also, Gator checkers, SEC memory game, plenty of new tattoos, Gator deck of cards, bags of candy, hand sanitizer, Gator spices, cups, Gator tablecloth, large overhead tent, etc....

each year we try and add one new big item....I am waiting for the plasma hookup!

Well, I drive REALLY fast and then try and kiss bumpers with the car in front of me.

and don't forget box wine, right! :thumbsup2

Love your pics, lilygator. I wish it was a UF game! They are my favorite too...unfortunately I live in GA now. Red is not my favorite color, but I guess it will be this weekend.

Hell, what do I care about who's playing. All I care about is the good food, beer pong, and jager bombs. :rotfl:

yep box wine! (not always though!) :) and no, not as a special treat either!

I posted a thread in 08 and bumped this year for new recipies...seems we are always bringing the same stuff and I wanted new ideas!!!, but most all tailgate sites are really for the cold weather areas, like chili, stews, etc.....much more involved than I want to be.

No pics, since I'm at work and don't have access to them, but we have a 'tailgating bin'. It's a rubbermaid container with all the non-perishables we need that we end up forgetting. Tonight is opening night for our hockey team (yay!) so I have 1.5 hours of work before I'm out of here to commence celebrating with beer!

We're doing hot sausages with peppers and onions, I made a seafood dip in one of those disposable aluminum baking pans to share with our crew, and steaks for dinner.

Really, though, the most imprtant items are booze and a bottle opener/corkscrew. And a container of baby wipes for when you have to visit the port-o-potty!!

Well, I don't tailgate that often anymore (I can't afford season tickets), but my parents do every weekend and I was brought up to do it their way. In fact, there was a brief interlude on the local news recently about tailgating and my dad got interviewed. Strange. Anyways, they go all out. My dad has specially equipped my moms car with outlets in the trunk so they can handle more than just 12 volt appliances. They take a plug in cooler, a small microwave and a blender for mixed drinks. There's also a small grill, of course, and a large picnic basket full of utensils and the like. A water cooler for washing your hands, three card tables (one long one), 2-4 foldable chairs, a foldable bench my dad made out of a piece of old stadium seating he picked up when they remodeled, a flag pole with flags and a whole backseat full of blankets, jackets and winter wear. Oh, and a silver ice bucket and matching silver candelabra with candles in our teams colors...they're staples.

Depending on whether it's an early or late game, either brunch or dinner will be served. The people they tailgate with coordinate the foods brought, but breakfast usually has some sort of egg dish, and always has mimosas. Dinners are usually burgers or steaks cooked on the grill, although one of their friends almost invariably makes soup of some sort. Once a year they boil lobsters in a turkey fryer. And of course, munchies all around.

Oh yeah, and my mom's car horn plays the fight song. It's terribly embarrassing.

I'm not sure pictures of our tailgate would be appropriate here on the DIS. WAY too much debauchery goes on....:lmao:

As for what is served...a lot of it depends on the time of the game. We (OU) have had a lot of early kickoffs the past couple of years and that sucks for tailgating.

But afternoon or evening games....we have a grill and usually do burgers, hot dogs, brauts, and chicken. And tailgaters usually bring side dishes like potato salad, crack crackers, and the usual.

As for the adult beverages....Patron is the main attraction.....Lots and lots of Patron.

I get as close as I can to the car ahead of me, usually on the freeway, usually speeding, and flash my lights and....

Oh, sorry. I misread the question. ;)
