I can imagine Dissers thinking I weigh about a ton because all I ever do is talk about junk food and eating half a dozen chocolate cupcakes at a time. :teeth:

I never weighed more than 99 pounds until I got married. After 27 years of marriage and three kids, I've gained about thirty pounds. Considering I'm only five feet tall, I probably could stand to lose five or ten pounds.

I just can't do it!! All the bad food tastes so good!! :goodvibes

one can be "within range" for their height/build

but still be uncomfortable in their skin

I'm just about right, I guess. Truth be told, I weigh more than I look, but I attribute that to my big German frame.

I could probably stand to lose about 5 pounds, though, if I want to get back into my skinny jeans.

According to the BMI charts and weight charts, I am the right size, but I'd prefer to lose about 15 more pounds. Like the PP said, I am just not quite comfortable in my own skin. 10 months ago, I was 60 pounds heavier. So maybe I still see myself as the fat girl. However, It's so nice to look at the charts and not see that I fall into the "obese" category anymore.

BTW, I am 29 years old, am 5'5" and weigh 140. I started out at 200 pounds in April 2005.

I'm 5ft. 8in. and weigh 130-135 lbs, I'm very comfortable with my size/ weight but if I only could tone up the jiggle.....

My numbers are climbing... I a 5'7" and weight 175, I would be happy losing 20 lbs, I should lose 30 lbs. I haven't weighed less than 155lb in I don't know how long, HS I suppose.

However I am very portionate. Most people can't believe how much I weigh, but I am very jiggly and I swear I have celullite building on my side...

I'm just right. 5 ft. 5 in. and 120 lbs. I go to the gym nearly every work morning, so I am pretty toned. I will always have an ample butt though, thanks to my ethnic heritage. ;) :rotfl:

I admire your discipline, I haven't seen the inside of a gym in about 10 years.
An "ample" butt is a good thing...wear it like a badge!!!

A more accurate question would be to ask where people are based on their BMI, rather than just their own sense of whether or not they are overweight. I know many, many people who think their weight is perfectly fine until I explain to them that a BMI of 32 or 36 or 40 is not okay.

For the record, my BMI is about 22.

How is BMI determined?

I fluctuate between 97 and 99 lbs. According to charts, I'm underweight, but they dont' take into consideration that I'm barely 5' tall, and have a very small frame. I hate being petite - I'd give anything to be 4 inches taller and 15 lbs. heavier! The most I've ever weighed is 138 when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. My close friends will joke that I'm their "anorexic" friend, or that I have a "tapeworm", or will say "have some more - lord knows you need it!" I know they're kidding, but I hate comments about how "tiny" I am. I don't make comments about some of them being overweight! Though I'm thin, having four kids has taken it's toll and I swear my butt must have dropped three inches this past year, I'm jiggly in places I wasn't before, and getting cellulite. Being think does NOT mean you automatically look great in a swimsuit!! :rotfl2:
