How do you spend your last day?

I drive down and it's about a 7 or 8 hour drive home so I try to leave around noon or so. I normally stay in an Epcot resort so I walk over to Epcot and have breakfast or walk to HS, have breakfast and hop on ToT and GMR. If I have any left over shopping I'll do that, usually at MK. Before I leave I always go to WS in Epcot and just sort of walk around and say buy to the countries. I have an AP so park hopping isn't an issue. I don't make FP for that day, just go wherever my heart takes me. Last time we were there was in May and DS and DIL had to pick up their dogs from boarding by 5 so we pretty much got up, and came on home.

Most of the the time I'm on a flight back to NYC around 7, so we have a pretty good chunk of the day to find something to do. Usually we sleep until around 9 or 10, check out, and then rest of our day involves a trip to DTD for some shopping; though to be honest I don't usually buy much in terms of souvenirs so I'm not sure why I do this. LOL I don't know if I could handle time in the park on the last day; to go from that Disney bubble back to the concrete jungle in a matter of a few hours? TOOOO Depressing... I like to think of DTD as a nice transition.

We drive, so our situation is a little different. But we go to MK in the morning to go on all our favorite rides one last time and then hot th

Last day is when we go to DDD to do our shopping!:car: we say goodbye to everyone that helped us out and took care of us:worship:, have one last good meal and head back home.:sad:

The last day might be a water park day next time. I'm not a fan of going on a long airplane ride coated in sunscreen and sweat, which is inevitable for most of the year. But the water parks let you enjoy the Disney "magic" and soak up some more Florida sun, plus get a shower in before heading off to the airport.

Usually I spend my last half day in the Magic Kingdom.

I've tried Animal Kingdom but the drive home after was tough - I was tired after the heat there. I tried Hollywood Studios but the day I went the rides I was hoping to do went down and I was bored so left earlier than planned.
I have also done DTD on my last day which was fine - I picked up some Christmas gifts for the nieces and nephews before driving home. With all of the changes to Disney Springs I'm thinking of doing that again on my next trip just to see everything that has been done.

Crying. We spend the last day in the parks and I am crying. I tend to go on rides that scare me so I stop crying.

We usually spend the morning at the pool and shower before checkout. I have young children that are always up early though!

Our last few trips we have had late flights home, around 8:00 pm. So we have been going to RD hitting a few rides and doing a late (relaxing) breakfast at Kona or Boma. And then just roaming around MK shopping and maybe a few more FP+ rides....

We always get a before park oping ADR at Crystal Palace. Each of us gets to choose a ride, and then we go say goodbye to Mickey. We cry the entire way to the airport.

We spend the morning at the pool (try to get a 1:00pm late check out) and then freshen up and head to DTD. We like to use up our final dining credits at Wolfgang Puck Express and snack credits at Goofy's Candy Co.
