How do you see the parades?

Might be a bit of a confusing question - but let me explain!!

Our touring strategy is going to be a 'few hours in the morning/resort/few hour in the evening' type of deal.

The main flaw being we wont see the parades!

AK isn't a problem as it shuts at 5, so one day we can head there for the aprade,a nd then hang around until closing, but for MK and HS what do you suggest I'm best to do? 9-3 seems a lot of hours out in the sun to me.....

It all depends on your preference. If you are not interested in seeing them then fine. Me personally really enjoy the parades and it is all part of the magic. But then again we are in the park all day, every day so not a problem.

yes i enjoy watching the parades as well so i make sure i see them. never followed any plan when going to disney just go with the flow and make sure i see everything i want to see

Always get all the maps when i check in and go through them the first night

Yeah, i definitely want to see them.

I'm thinking maybe for the MK one, of getting to the park for 2.30 that day and getting a space, but going on a MNSSHP day, as I hear they get pretty quiet after like 5, so might be able to do some extra stuff in the late afternoon that we wouldn't on a party day, and then leaving before the party starts.

we normally arrive at the parks for opening time and leave after the parade. There are plenty os shows that are good for a rest and a/c. This works weel for our kids as once we get back to the resort and pool they are reluctavt to leave. If we went back at 1pm they would just want to be in the pool for hours
