Well, we put aside some money.. but first and foremost, we pay off debt first.. as aahmom had stated.

Lets see we ebay, save, I do little incentive things, work part time, (not currently working though), we drive down to save money, we use some tax refund, (after we give a big portion of it to charity.. to give back!)

I just counted the money in my change jar for New Orleans and it's $90.91!! That's strictly from change, odd dollars and my 4 paychecks that I started saving from the month of February!! Not bad huh? I've even started rolling the change so the bank doesn't freak out when I show up at the end of this month. I've got $17.50 in rolled changed. :p

I voted DVC because owning this allows me to have my accomadations paid for - as for spending money etc - I am a RN and about 2 months before we go on vacation I pickup an extra shift each week - the over time adds up fast and gives us extra mad money.

First of all, I would never go to WDW if it wasn't paid for first. I may charge it to a credit card but I have the money saved to pay for it when the CC bill arrives. Otherwise, I could not relax and enjoy my vacation. :)
We save a bit of DH's paycheck each week to put toward vacation (I put mine toward school tuition for DD). I save all change. I have 200. rolled and have more to roll. :) Sometimes I have a garage sale and sometimes if I get a tax refund that will be put toward vacation (never big enough for a vacation though!) And last, if I shop at Kroger's (grocery store) I use their store card and at the bottom of the receipt it shows a balance that I have saved for the year using their card. I 'cheat' and take that amount out of the checkbook (if possible) and use for vacation money.
Plus, everything has to pass the Disney test.;)

I have a change jug, and I save $1 bills. I haven't counted the jug yet- but by the time our first Food and Wine trip came up last year I'd saved over $500 in $1s!!
We didn't use them all- in fact I still have $200 in ones in my collection drawer!! I'm thinking about starting to save up for my next F & W trip!!

I forgot to say that I also subtract money out of each paycheck coming in to add to the 'trip fund'. When it gets over a certain amount, I transfer the money to the savings account. That way, if it's not in checking- I don't mess with it. (Of course I don't mess with it anyway- but it earns a bit more in interest over there.)

Every little bit helps.......

I have a Disney saving account where $$ gets automatically deposited every paycheck, and we save change. Also, any odd jobs DH picks up where he gets paid in cash go towards Disney. I just set up an Ebay seller account so I'm hoping to get rid of some stuff and make $$, too :)

I dont really "save" money ahead of time but I pay for things associated with our trip before we go. We are DVC so we wont have to pay for our room. I buy AP or php ahead of time and have it paid off by the time we go. I also buy from Simple Escapes the meal coupons for Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe (its a 20% savings)and I use my dc card for an additional 10% off or use coupons I have for $5 or $10 off. I am also a member of mypoints so when I earn enough points I get a RF gift card for $25 to use for meals. With a small savings on each item it really adds up.

I didn't vote 'cuz we do everything listed except get help from family/friends. I refuse to charge our trips, so if we don't have the cash, we don't go. But we own DVC, so that alleviates room costs and a lot of food costs. That way, I only have to save for transportation and ticket costs. I sell on ebay, do the change jar thing, sell at a flea market 2x each year, and do rewards programs. All cash accumulated goes into my ING account where it earns a little more interest than it would in my credit union account. Every little bit helps to get us our Disney fix! ;)
