You know, I've come to realize that that's just not who I am. I can't relax...It's not that I'm so high strung I'll snap, it's just that I relax in ways that aren't relaxing to others...
For instance I teach aerobics. I LOVE it. I am refreshed and relaxed when I finish. My ideal vacation is NOT lounging on a beach. I need to be phsyically active. When I finally realized others were forcing their idea of relaxation on me, I "relaxed"!!
Now my laid back Texas husband (I'm from PA) is the opposite (isn't that always the case).
Anyway, It's in the ATTITUDE. If you press forward ANXIOUSLY, trying to squeeze activities into the day...forget it! To me, if I have the attitude of enjoying each minute and not worrying about what we're missing, then I am relaxing the whole time!
OK, so my family can't do this. Children NEED to rest or crankiness ensues. (Same with my spousal unit). So while they relax, I do what I need to to "relax."
