I wanted to reference other posts I have already done in a current new reply. How is this done?

Thanks!

1. Go to the page on the board with the thread you want to reference, put your mouse on the thread name and click the "right" mouse button.

2. You should get a pop up menu and one of the selections should be "Copy Shortcut" - click on that. The menu will go away but you won't get any other indication of anything happening.

3. Go to the thread to which you want to reply and go to the post reply.

4. Above the box where you are typing your reply you will see an area with "vB Code" to the left. You will use the button labeled "http://"

5. Click that button. You will get a fill in dialog box. Type here what you want to show up in your reply, usually a descriptive tag for the link you are going to point to. For example: "Vacation pictures thread". Then hit OK. (notice this is optional but is a nice feature)

6. The next dialog box is where we put the actual address of the thread. Again put your mouse on the area where you might type and click the "right" mouse button. You will again get a different pop up menu. Select "Paste". Make sure that there is only one "http://" at the front of the address.

7. Click "OK" and you're done!

If you have any problems, let me know.

Also, next to "vB Code" is a link to "help". Click on that and it will explain all the features in that area.
