How do you read the DIS?

I read each forum page individually, but I have several windows open at the same time and go back and forth all around the place!

The one thing I had in mind for "Other" was instant, daily or weekly email for either subscribed thread, or all threads. (Gosh I wish the email separated NEW threads out from all threads.)

I'd be curious to know, for folks who do rely on the email notifications, whether they do the instant thing, or use daily or weekly instead.

I get the instant email notification on the threads I sign up for....

I usually open 2 DIS windows and go back & forth reading posts. I rarely get an email subscription but when I do it's the instant one. I also usually have another window open like CNN or Ebay. I'm on dial-up and since peeps here use quite a bit of pics in their sigs some threads take awhile to load (esp. those that don't follow the guidelines ).

A related question: If you use instant email notifications -- Do you use them to know when there has been a reply, so you can go to the thread and read the reply? or Do you actually read the reply in the email notification itself?

I also have dial up and live in s-l-o-w l-a-n-d! So, I read the reply in the email while the DIS page is loading. I am a talkative person so I usually reply if I started the thread or if someone addresses me personally.

Me too! All the other ways listed are something I haven't ventured into yet.

Works for me too, with frequent forays to the Theme Park, Resort, and Restaurant Boards.

I always check my User CP first for subscribed threads and PMs. Then go to the CB to look at what's there. Then to other boards as time allows.
