How do you pronounce the word E-G-G?

I don't know! I'm sitting here saying it over and over. I think it's not quite as hard as aig, but not quite as soft as ehg.

FTR, I'm from the north AND south. We live in what DH calls Pennsyltucky. We're close enough to West Virginia to be southern, but still Yankees because we're in Pennsylvania.

I say "ehg", and I am born and bred in the South (SC). I have heard other people here say "aig" and I always think "PRONOUNCE IT CORRECTLY!".

Also, some people here say "pitcher" for that painting that hangs on the wall. That drives me nuts. It's PICTURE, people!

Tigger&Belle - where is the boyfriend from? I say egg and leg the same way as he does. Is this a regional thing?

I just asked my daughter and she said that his mother is from Long Island.

I dont recognize the word E-G-G. However if I were to pronounce it, it would go "eehyphengeehyphengee".
