How do YOU pronounce "DIS?"

I'm just curious.

How do YOU pronounce "DIS?"
Do you pronounce it with an "S" at the end?
Do you pronounce it with a "Z" sound at the end, as in Disney?

I, personally, pronounce it with an "S" sound at the end.

As of right now- It's 50 / 50. I just assumed everyone pronounced it with the "ssss" sound at the end. LOL

Even though I understood it was an anagram for something like "Disney Information Station or Site", I've always thought of DIS as a short form for "Disney".

So I've always pronouced it as a "z".

Its Disney Information Site. So I think the correct pronounciation would be Disss. But I say Diz.

I have always assumed it was /diz/ but in my head I always say /dis/ because that is how it works phonetically and I think it is hysterical to think we are "dissing" each other!!!! But, I am often worried I could get beat up for asking the wrong person wearing lime green at Disney if "he is a Disser". And now I may also have to ask him if "he was just focking with me". I may need to carry pepper spray!!!

BUT since I have just been informed that DIS originally stood for Disney Information Station, then it would actually be correct to pronounce it DIS with the "s" sound because technically the S stands for Station, and is not really a short version of Disney, although that would be why DIS were the letters chosen to make an acronym from. .. . .

I think we need an official ruling from Webmaster Pete!!!!

But, when I heard Pete pronounce it "DIZ" on the webcast, that sealed it.

"DIZ it iz."

I always pronounced it DIS. I heard the Webcast and realized I was wrong but I can't seem to break the habit.

Just rememberd that on the DIS Radio it is pronounced with the Z so I am guessing that is how Webmaster Pete intends it.
