I was just wondering what everyone was doing with their credits, and if you're planning on paying OOP for anything, etc. This is what I think me and DM will be doing when we go this year. This is my first time with the DDP. :)

We'll be doing a sit-down dinner every night using TS credits, with the excepetion of the night we go to the Party for the Senses. Two of the dinner, we'll split, Spoodles, and a signature meal, to save a few credits.

We'll do almost no other meals, except we'll split a TS lunch as well one day at Coral Reef, the same day we eat at Spoodles.

We won't be using any TS credits at breakfast, but we will be paying OOP for breakfast at CP and Akershus.

We'll be splitting most, if not all, CS meals, and use them primarily for lunches, and late night meals, since I plan on getting early dinner ADRs. We may use a few for breakfast, basically at Pop, on late mornings.

For our snack credits, we'll only use them for items above $2.50. And mostly we'll use them at the Food and Wine Festival. I just don't want to use up all of the snack credits on drinks. We'll use some though for boxes of Entemanns, Dole whips, Figaro Fries, and stops at bakeries and Goofy's Candy Company.

I also think we'll try a few resort CS locations, like Captain Cook's, especially since I hear they now have Dole whips there.

This will be our plan (1st timers on the DDP also)

there are 4 of us and we're staying 8 nights so we'll each have 8 credits each of snacks, CS & TS.

Snack credits will be used day by day as we see fit. I know that I'm definately getting a Dole Whip and a Rice Krispie Mickey Head Treat (covered in chocolate)

CS credits will be used for....
5 breakfasts at POP
1 lunch at POP
1 lunch at Leaning Palms
1 lunch at Tusker House

TS credits will be used for...
1 breakfast at Chef Mickey's
1 breakfast at Crystal Palace
1 dinner at Kona
1 dinner at Le Cellier
1 dinner at Chef Mickey's
1 dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
1 dinner at Sci Fi Diner
1 dinner at Crystal Palace

the only food we will be paying OOP for would be a late lunch/early dinner at Universal, Rainforest Cafe and Whispering Canyon Cafe (WCC is our family tradition on our last day....we have a nice big breakfast before heading to the airport)

We used the DDP for the first time last September during the free dining promotion. :goodvibes We loved it and are paying for it during our upcoming trip. This time we are going to use 2TS booking Hoop Dee Doo. I have two breakfasts planned at Kona Cafe and Ohana's and I am going to pay OOP for as they should be the least expensive. We used the snacks on things like popcorn or ice cream and brought bottles of water with us to the parks. This time we will have a rental car so we will pick it up before we check into our resort. Last time we used Magical Express and I had two cases of water shipped to our resort from Staples.com I signed up for their rewards card and got free shipping so the two cases of water only cost me around $12 This saved us a lot of money and I brought along the Kool-Aid singles and Crystal Light packages to add to the water when we wanted that. Worked great!

Happy planning! :wave2:

We will be using most of our TS meals at lunch time and CS meals in the evening whenever we are hungry. For breakfast we usually just grab something, like a danish or fruit that will tide us over until an early lunch. Any other snacks will be covered on an "as needed" basis. The only time we really vary in our plans is on our AK day where we are having 2 CS during the day and will eat 2 TS meals at Epcot.

This sounds like a great idea. How did you arrange your shipment days. I have never had anything shipped to our resort so I would like more info on doing this. Bringing water bottles at the end of June especially is a must.

I am on the DDP twice in August. The biggest plan I make is for at least one signature restaurant (2 credits). One trip will be California Grill and at the moment I think the other will be Jiko.

I personally won't use DDP during the food and wine festival, there's better things to eat at the ticketed events.

This is how I ordered water from Staples.com It is quite easy. Go to
www.staplesrewardscenter.com and sign up for their rewards program. It is free and will allow you to get free shipping on phone and internet orders. Then simply place an order with your name and the address of the resort you are staying at. I believe there is a comment section and there you should include your arrival date and perhaps your reservation #.

I know that the water was going to arrive earlier than I wanted so I contacted customer service at Staples.com via e-mail and requested that my water not arrive until Friday as we were checking in on a Saturday. (No deliveries on weekends) When I got to our resort there was a notation on my reservation number and the CM went and got my cases of water for me from the back and we carried them to our room. Super easy and worked really great. A really good way to save $$ and/or snack credits.

Let me know if you have more questions about this.

Happy planning!

I am going with free dining again this year. Only its for 21 days this time. So I will use the snacks for breakfast (exept the one at Rainforest Cafe I like their breakfasts) the cs credits mostly for lunch and ts for supper. On the days that I go out (will be doing shopping trips and visits to universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens) I will use cs for dinner and the ts credits used on other nights at signature resteraunts.

21 days at WDW, and it's all free dining??? That's it. I renounce my US citizenship and I'm moving to the UK. :rotfl2:

We kind of mixed up our TS ADR's; we like some character breakfasts, although we prefer TS dinners. We aren't doing any signature meals. We usually eat only one big meal a day, or if we eat a really early breakfast, then we might eat a big dinner, if there's a lot of walking in between :cool1: We may share a CS meal or two, or pay OOP for some.

Day 1: arrive Orlando 10 am, AK Day, late EMH at MK
CS lunch (probably Tusker House)
TS dinner Boma

Day 2: Epcot/MGM Day (late EMH at MGM)
TS breakfast Akershus
CS lunch in Epcot or maybe just snacks
TS dinner Mama Melrose's for Fantasmic Package
late night dessert at Sci Fi (OOP)

Day 3: Epcot Day
CS or snacks for breakfast
CS lunch
CS dinner (maybe for lagoon seating at Cantina for Illuminations?)

Day 4: MK Day
TS breakfast 'Ohana (will pay OOP, this is our cheapest TS meal)
snacks for lunch
TS dinner Grand Floridian Cafe (6:10 so we can still catch Wishes)

Day 5: DTD Day
CS or snacks for breakfast
CS lunch WPE in DTD
La Nouba 6 pm
TS dinner Raglan Rd

Day 6: Last Day, probably MK and Epcot
CS breakfast Main Street Bakery
afternoon tea at GF (OOP)
TS dinner Rose & Crown (7:50, hoping for patio seats!)

We are doing the DP for the 1st time in May. We were not able to get HoopDeeDoo, though I am still holding out hope that someone will cancel. I am not planning to pay OOP for anything until I have to. We are just going to go and enjoy, and when we run out, we run out.:)

These are our TS:

Chef Mickey's dinner
Kona Cafe dinner
Le Cellier dinner
Princess Storybook dinner at Norway
Breakfastasaurus
Boma dinner
Tony's Town Square lunch

I am planning on

Sun- arrival day

CS dinner at POP food court

Mon- MGM
TS H&V breakfast
TS 50's dinner

Tues- MK
TS- CRT lunch
CS?- Dinner?

Wed- Epcot
TS- LeCellier Dinner
CS- ? lunch

Thurs - AK/DTD
CS- AK
earl of sandwich- OOP?

Friday - leaving
CS - Breakfast - POP food court

I haven't planned the snacks but I know a few thing I need to try.popcorn::

We are not generally big breakfast eaters so here is how we generally do it.

Breakfast- grab a breakfast bar. Teens sometimes use a snack credit for a
danish or something at the BW bakery.

Lunch- CS, very rarely have a TS for lunch.

Dinner- TS.

We do share some on the plan because of the amount of food. We ended up with 5 extra CS and 10 snacks last summer. We were headed to VB for a week so we used our snack credits on fudge and other goodies and sandwiches and chips from Earls.
