It is supose to be over 100* :sunny: today and tomorrow here in IL. Too hot to do much. I'm just wondering how others are planing on beating the heat.

By not leaving the house. ;) I'm going to catch up on laundry since nobody wants to be outside.

Staying in the AC and packing for Celebration of Life Trip... :goodvibes

By not leaving my central air. Actually it's a little chilly in here, I may have to go turn it up a little, hehe. ;)

Driving to/from my air conditioned house and workplace in my air conditioned car. Seriously - I cannot imagine how people without A/C are fairing with this crazy heat wave. Our local TV stations have really been promoting the use of shelters and air conditioned public places for those who don't have A/C. A couple of stations are giving away free/donated box fans to the poor too.

we're supposed to get it on wednesday, I think (tomorrow in the mid-90s, wedn could hit 100). I am doing all of our laundry today so I can hopefully give the electricity a break those days. plan is to keep the air cranked and the kids cool. at 100 I think its too hot to take them to the pool...they are young and don't do heat well anyway.

thinking about what to have for food...stuff we don't have to cook, or requires very little cooking. hmmm...

Here in Florida it's well in the 100's.

I plan on staying indoors in the cool air.

I so wish I had a pool! Ahh....

Actually the AC is cranked up so high in my office right now that I'm :cold: my butt off.

We only have window units at my house, since the central AC went kaput (we'll replace it next spring). So, it's only cool in the family room and our bedroom, but those are the rooms we spend the most time in. Cooking tonight won't be fun though (we went out last night and ordered pizza the night before so not cooking isn't an option at this point). Well, we do have that coupon for Colonial Cafe....hmmm...

I'm going to stay outside as much as possible, because come December, I'm going to WISH it was 100 degrees outside. :p

But seriously, I'm probably just going to stay inside with the a/c on. My dd is going to be at her father's house Wednesday through Sunday, so I don't have to worry about keeping her inside and cool...so because of that, I'm planning on spending plenty of time in dbf's pool. :teeth:

I have the ablity to stay in the air conditioning today but the rest of the week i'll have to be at work and that means outdoors. Only thing i can do is stay hydrated staying out of the direct sun isnt even an option (usher at a baseball stadium)

I consider the heat "practice" for my WDW trip that is coming up in 18 days. It makes it easier to deal with.

Plus, I live in WI, so I enjoy summer as much as I can, while I can!
