How do you plan # of days in park?

I wouldn't have huge concerns about crowds that day. The APs can go during the week before, if were a very busy day they would be blocked. Many vacationers will be leaveing that day and it will be like any Sunday when the nights calm down. If your kids still get that tired, I would think they will sleep in the car too and have plenty of energy on arrival.

The parks will clear out in the afternoon. You could take it easy in the afternoon after arriving. Go to the parks in the late afternoon. If they aren't going to last too late, watch fireworks by ROA so you can see both F! and fireworks. Plus it'll snow too! Monday the park will likely open at 10 so not too early a start.

WOC has been nightly since it started. During the week it'll likely be at 8:15 and you could head to bed right after.

Ok, I think you have me convinced to go Sun now. Do you think its worth giving up a MM? We are staying onsite so I was thinking we would get T and Th. But if we go sun it would just be Tues.

Also, driving early on Sun would prob be better for traffic right? No commuters on the road.

While MM is nice, you are going at a slow time. They aren't as valuable as in summer or Holiday weeks. For me it is a easy trade off.

Sunday is a nice time to drive. As with everywhere traffic is heavy but well distributed throughout the whole day. It's nice when everything just keeps moving.

We fly in from Seattle.
If we take the early morning flight, we are at the front gates before noon, so it's a park day.

If it's a late flight, we'll just go to Downtown Disney and hang out there. Might pop into the park for fireworks but typically just relax. We have APs so that makes it really easy.

I like a later flight on departure day so we can get in a Disney morning. We like talking about "what we did at Disney this morning" when we are home that night. Feels kind of special.

For us, 3 or 4 nights is max for us. Any more than that and it's too much Disney. We park hop, do other things in OC. Love the chicken dinner at Knotts Berry Farm so we never miss that. If we stay longer than 5 days, we definitely do other things in LA. I can only handle so much Disneyland!!!

Yes,heavy is fine so long as it is moving. My sis moved to orange county last year so we've made quite a few trips. Toll roads and diamond lanes are our friend!
