We have specific cabins we prefer but all are verandah and all (with one VGT exception and one special rate exception) are Starboard side.
We prefer Deck 10 all the way forward, 10500, 10502, 10504 or 10506. They are super quiet under the Rainforest, with the awesome overhang that we love. It is quick and easy access to Cabanas, the pools and Rainforest. It also fun to look over and see some of the officers on the bridge and wave to them.
Our first cruise was deck 6 midship and that was awesome so we chose deck 6 for the next few cruises. Then we went to deck 9 and later deck 10 and that was the end of that. The special rate I booked this past April was a SWDAS/Easter cruise and booked 2 7A or 7C cabins...not sure anymore. Anyway, we ended up with 5A's cabins on deck 9 port side. Which was a nice change.
The one time we stayed aft was enough for me (the first VGT rate we got) I know there are these great extended verandahs aft and all that, but I did not like being so far back.
