Posted this on the Budget Board but thought maybe being Canadian, the answers I get will be more comparable.

I currently have the Pop Century and and Yacht Club on hold for our planned 2010 stay. A deposit is due this coming Friday but if I try to apply payment online, it only allows credit card, gift card, etc. Is it possible to use two credit cards for the deposit? i.e. Split the deposit 50/50 between the two cards. What other forms of payment does Disney accept? Not sure if paying with a check would be reasonable as I might get hit with a charge due to currency exchange (Canadian to U.S. dollar)

I've been looking into the gift card option as well but.... it doesn't look like us Canadians can buy a gift card from a Disney Store in Canada and use it for a purchase in the States. Correct me if I'm wrong...

How do you pay for your trip?

I have a credit card with a fairly low limit as i do not use them unless for an emergency so all year i made payments on it and ended up having a large credit balance so it was easy to use my credit card to pay for everything on line, passes, hotels, plane tickets, etc. and i am continuing to make payments on it so there is a credit balance for while we are there...

I did speak to Visa prior to doing this to be sure it would just get added as a credit balance and that they would not send me a cheque back for overpayment.....

If you want to avoid using a credit card you can mail in a money order. I have the address at work but you could get it by calling Disney Reservations. This might not be an option this time as it might not get there in time at this point....

Last trip I made payments on the visa card... but paid off the the card with my WDW cash stash after each payment.

I pay by credit card. I use it for EVERYTHING I can, so that I get miles to get me to DisneyWorld next time:rotfl:. I pay it off every month and don't carry a balance so it works well for me. :)

We paid the deposit and the balance using our credit card...I too tried to think of another way to do it as we're hit with a 2.5% surcharge plus the daily conversion rate on all of the cards we own.

We don't carry a balance on any of our cards so putting the deposit and balance on the card wasn't an issue.

I save constantly for whatever.....usually the whatever is a vacation. I put away between $200 and $400 per month. I get bonuses at work so those go in my fund as well. Then when I book a trip I use my CC and pay it when the bill comes in. I never book a trip that I don't have the cash to pay for.

Same here :thumbsup2

I use my credit card so I get grocery points as long as the rate is okay. If not we have an American account. I transfer money when it's a good rate and than we mail a monney order from that account for payment.

We have an American Visa through the TD bank and we always use that for our payments (no surcharges). We don't use it for anything other than Disney packages, which are paid off before we go, so there is always lots of credit available. If you are using two credit cards, couldn't you just make a payment with one (partial amount) and then make another payment with the remainder? I'm sure you can use different cards. The American Visa works best for us. :goodvibes

Varies...depends. If I want Aeroplan or Avion miles I use them..if not, I use my RBC USD Visa. I am always transferring when I like the rate into my USD acct so there's always the funds to pay that when I do. Plus DH does a lot of work for US companies and they pay him in USD so that keeps that acct healthy as well!!;)
