How do you entertain yourself until the next time you go "home" to Disney?

In the past, Disney vacations have been sort of a 3 months in advance sort of plan for me. This time I have nine whole months and an Alberta winter to wait through!

Even worse, its a suprise so I can't even talk to anyone about it (although, I'm sure they would be very thankful for that....)

I think its making me go a bit nutty

That's why I'm on here.. definitely helps pass the time. ;)

we're doing Disney Theme nights every friday! There is a thread on the Disney for Families board with AMAZING ideas! This Friday is Alladin so I'm heading to the dollarstore to get some supplies :o) We'll have Themed food and make a craft and watch the movie. Doing this once a week is great to get the kids excited and helps pass the time for me!

Scrapbooking your last Disney trip!

It's easy for me...my youngest DD will take about WDW and our plans for hours. Just the mention of anything Disney related and she will dive right in with a full on discussion. She has been a great sounding board for our next trip. It was thrown together rather quickly and she helped sort things out as far as which places to eat and where to go on a certain day.

Gotta luv that kid :lovestruc

My last Disney scrapbook is 2001....I have oodles of trips after that that need scrapbooks too! S :wizard:

We go to Disney on Ice and Disney Stores and watch the slide show from our last trip. We also watch movies and read lots of Disney stories.

Think we might start the theme nights, though too! I love the idea!

I am also hoping that the Jaro Hotels have the Characters again since we missed them last winter.

I hear you on the waiting. I am so anxious to go back to WDW and would be going back this fall if we were not expecting another child this fall.
I spend day and night on here as well as hitting the Disney Store as often as possible and always on the hunt for Disney merchandise to pre purchase for our upcoming trip.
I really like the idea of scrapbooking our last trip & will def have to try that.

A bit off topic but since must of you like shopping while waiting for the time too pass;) I was just at Walmart today and they have kids clothes on clearance and I bought two great skirt and tank top outfits for DD, one was Tink and the other Minnie and they were $9.00! Happy shopping!

My teenagers think I'm crazy, but I watch a Disney movie every day before we go as a countdown - we have 66 Disney dvds, so I started 66 days out. I was going in alphabetical order, but I've cheated a couple of times ;) - just check them off as I watch them.
It's funny to see my 17 year old son walk by and end up standing there for half an hour to watch Bambi with me. My daughter has also joined me for Cinderella and Beauty & the Beast even though she's 14 - they laugh and enjoy me telling them their reactions to certain parts when they were little.
So it's like a preparation for our trip, but also a trip down memory lane.

take another trip somewhere else. it will make that one seems so much better.

we booked a cruise on the magic to fill in the gap from our last one which was in Dec 08 and are going in sept 09.

we only paid 600$ per person for a full week.
