Don't ask me why but I went shopping again :Pinkbounc today. Of course it was because I received a coupon in the mail for my LSS's anniversary sale.

But, any how, I bought more paper (like I need more paper) When I bought the paper I bought a patterned paper then a solid card stock to go with it. So, now I am thinking that is how I should organize my papers by keeping the solid with the patterned that I bought to go with it. Right now I have all my solids sorted by color and it always takes me forever to coordinate and choose which solid I should use for matting with my patterned paper.

How do you organize your paper?

Well lets see.....LOL.!!!
First I have my paper seperated by size.
Then I have all my solid cardstock on one shelf, patterns on another, then I have one shelf with just white/black cardstock, another with all heritage type papers. I have another one that is a combo but is all baby themed.
And then I have another that is mixed but like you are solid/patterns that I purchased to go together!
If I have stickers to match they also go in with them.

hit here - well you saw my 12X12 on the cube - well I have my paper taker with 'sets' in it - one compartment is all Disney papers, another is all SEI Savory, another for SEI Scenery, etc...
I also buy a lot of matching solids and patterns and it is WAY to hard to keep them together!
Hope you find a good system!

I keep solids seperate from patterns - UNLESS they are designed to work together, then I file the solids with the patterns.

I have just started filing my patterned paper by brand rather than color and that is working quite well, all the SEI together, all the K&CO together etc etc, it seems to make more sense to me that way. I do have a section at the end of random paper that is not a specific brand (well, I suppose it must be, but I don't know what brand it is), and that's by color

I have the target cubes for 12x12 , and accordian files in a drawer of my desk for 8 1/2 x 11. Scraps are in a generations accordian file . I seperate by color . Pattern paper is in a 12x12 memory album box.

I have most of my paper in a "Paper Taker." It goes with one of those large SB bags you can buy at Joanns. That's where I also got the paper taker. Anyway...I got 12x12 folders for the inside, I seperated my paper first by stampin up and CM. Then by color. I got a cute little mickey head punch and punched one of each color. Glued that to the outside and then wrote the name next to it. I figured this would be easy to find a certain color and for reorders. I got four different colors in each folder. (ex. 4 different colors of green only) Then I just wrote green's on the tab, so I knew there were all green's inside. Finally in the back, I just put a folder for my printed paper. I don't have a ton, so I thought this would work ok.
This did take alot of work...I'll warn you!;) But now that it's done, I love it. It's really easy to find something and I can take it with me.

Good luck....I always think I have my stuff all orgainzed, then I buy something new!!!
