How do you move with split hotel stays?

Sorry, this seems like a silly question, however, I often wonder how one moves to another hotel if you haven't got a car with you. Do people do this? Only seems feasible if you do have a car. We are not renting a car this time, but taking the Disneyland shuttle from the airport. Staying at the Fairfield, but tempted to do the first two nights at the DLH and then moving. I've never considered a split stay because it seems like such a pain to pack up and move. But I see a lot of people on the boards do this approach to be able to experience an on property hotel for part of the stay.

We did it by taking a taxi. It only cost $5 to move.

Will be doing a split stay this August: FFI > PPH > DLH.

My plan is:
Taxi from FFI to PPH (early enough to get in for EMH)
Walk from PPH to DLH

You can walk from DLH to FFI but I would rather take a taxi. It's just so much easier.

Have fun planning!

We considered walking (FFI to GCH), but that would have meant rolling our bags down Harbor and across the street and then going through security, then halfway through DTD (or all the way if you're going to DLH). Didn't seem worth it. There might be a different way to do it but I don't think there is a simple way. If you just had a backpack or something it would be easy, but with luggage I wouldn't attempt it.

Ahhh...Taxi wouldn't be a bad idea! As far as walking it..with all our luggage....we are the people walking through the airport looking like the Griswolds! :rotfl2: My DH wonders every single trip how I manage to pack so much:confused3

We are doing a split stay next month but not by choice! We are staying for 7 nights total but our first night we are staying at HoJos (Sep 1st) because there are no onsite reservations available. We keep checking! I assume because of the 1/2 Marathon.

We plan on just taking a taxi to the GCH in the am early, storing our bags and enjoying the day:)
