I have only been keeping track of the pounds lost (or gained) and I wish I had also been keeping track of inches. Do you measure your weight loss in pounds, inches or both?

In the past, when I lost weight, I only tracked pounds. But this time, after reading a few posts around here (especially Nativetxn's;) ), I figured inches might matter. So I measure myself now everytime I weigh in, too. Strangely, while the weight is coming off, not many "measureable" inches have come off. But my clothes are fitting better, so something's working! I'll keep measuring and see how it goes for a while.

I pay more attention to inches lost than pounds lost. I think measuring the percentage of body fat lost is a really great indicator of success. That's our goal, right? To reduce the amount of body fat we carry around?

There are some great scales available that will tell you your weight and your percentage of body fat. I have one still in the box, LOL. I suppose I need to figure out how to use it ;)

I get weighed and measured at Curves once a month. Of course, I weigh myself at home more often than that! I try to have the same person measure me. The most important indicator for me is the way my clothes fit. I bought a pair of really cute pants early last Spring (specifically to wear to my nieces' baby shower.) I just had to get rid of them because they're too big! This is the first NEW thing that I've had to discard since starting Curves 13 months ago. (I have gotten rid of sooo many clothes lately - really a nice feeling!)
