how do you mark your stroller?

I've heard that it'll be easier to find our stroller after rides if we "mark" it somehow....I've tried various things at home (ribbon on the handle, luggage tags, etc.) and haven't found anything yet that seems like it'll work all that well. I DO NOT want to use a balloon as I know practically everyone else will have one on their stroller. We're bringing the Jeep double umbrella stroller, if that helps.
Thanks!

Well, we rented, and used a large, bright, ugly scarf, and I made my own stroller card with florescent paper. I don't remember seeing that many balloons. I remember it once taking us 15 minutes to find it.

On our cheapie $20 stroller we used a sharpie and put our initials and cell number on it to literally mark it.

To make it easily identifiable -- we used a cloth diaper that my son has as a lovey and put it in the mesh stroller bag.

haha! i have to laugh cus even tho we marked it well, we still couldnt find it a lot of the time. yeah they move them...like a lot....aisle...rows spots away you name it.

we bought a sit and stand for this trip. it was great...and everyone had a similar one! lol we decorated it with our lime green mickey heads laminated from home depot. tied those on with ribbons, i also used a red bandana on one side tied to it and a dora one on the other. on top of that we always left out back pack on it.

We have a bright, plush flower that has a thick wire in the stem, which is about 24" long - I wrap part of the stem around the handle, and still have about 8-10" of flower that stands straight up, which really makes it stand out in a crowd.

Last time I tied a big plastic bag that I had in the basket of the stroller around one handle. It stood out very well in the stroller parking areas. :thumbsup2 This time I will do the same or perhaps just tie some cloth around one handle. I will tell you things not to use to label your stroller are balloons or the WDW shopping bags. I do recommend something bright that will stand out. :wizard:

We have a black Mac Volo which blends in real well. We tied a red, white and blue flag scarf to the handle. It was easy to spot. Just make sure it is something that stands out. You may want to stay away from just a red bandana or something since others may have that too. This is why we used the flag scarf. Very distinct.

You know all the stickers you get from CMs, the mickey ones, the DVC ones- they're covering our stroller in any place my 2 y/o DS can stick them.

We buy a dozen cheap neon bandanas from oriental trading company, about $3. (We also buy cheap rain ponchos at the same time!) Not only are they great for marking your stroller, they make good napkins, flags, headbands, chew toys, belts.... :rotfl:

If it's a Bugaboo, Lojack!:rotfl2:

Just kidding, We mark it with all the junk we used to carry in it or as with later trips, used cheap unmbrella strollers.

I went to the creative DISigns board and had my kids name made - one with Ariel and one with Mickey and I printed it out and laminated it at Office Max..punched a hole in the corner and attached it to the handle. They came out so cute!

I used colorful kids luggage tags on our last trip, but I read one time that if you go to Home Depo they have the Mickey head paint samples and people have laminated them and used them on luggage and on the strollers! Cute idea I will try on our next trip.

I had someone from the dising board make a nice design that I had laminated (so it could hold under the rain) at staples than tie it to our stroller with some tie-rap.

I decided to be simple and cheap. I had a bunch of curling ribbon and tied several different colors to each stroller (we took a total of 3 different strollers, 2 single, one double depending on what we did each day). Kids love to touch the ribbon, though. I still have it on the handle and if I have DD0 in the stroller, DD2 will hold onto the ribbon and walk with us. Easy way to keep an eye on her.

We went to our local craft store and purchased 3 yards of bright neon yellow nylon fabric. We used binder clips to attach it to our black MacClaren stroller. I will tell you that the color worked very well for us. Every time we came out of an attraction, we spotted our stroller immediately. Additionally, the nylon material also served as a rain cover since it is water proof.

now for the difficult part....
who has a PICTURE of their marked stroller? I need an idea as to how big/bold/stand-outish I need to be.
thanks!

Get a raincover. 20 bucks at Baby's R Us.

We have always found that there just aren't that many double strollers that have a raincover. Maybe 1 out of 40. So that's all you really need, and if you've got two little ones, you'll really appreciate having it during the sudden, but expected, torrential downpours. They'll be dry under cover (most have built in vents), and when you leave your buggy in the stroller lot to go on Small World, they'll be climbing into dry seats. I keep mine attached at all times, but rolled back out of the way and deployable in under 20 seconds.

Double Jeep with cover, pretty safe that you'll be able to pick it out of a sea of big blue plastic park rentals without any problem at all.

Have a magical trip!
