How do you make touring plans?

Hi all! When we went to DW for the first time (Sep 06 - only trip so far), I had ADRs and various info written down. However, we decided what park to go to each morning and just went where we felt like. It was okay most of the time since the lines were low, but with the ADRs, it got kind of hectic. We did use our park hopper.

How do you make touring plans? I know there are crowd calendars somewhere and best park days. How do you plan when you don't know when show times are?
