How do you make special room requests

So we just made our first reservation with our new and first DVC contract. As I'm reading the threads here I see lots of posters say they put requests in for certain rooms such as "near transportation" or "high floor". Can someone tell me how these requests are made? Our reservation was done right in the DVC member website but there were no such fields for these types of requests (at least that I saw).

You will have to call Member Services.

Or while logged in to the member website & looking at your travel plan, clink the email us link, I think it is on the left side of the page. I just did this tonight for a request for my brother.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know it wasn't something completely simple that I was overlooking. I will reach out to Member Services to make the requests.

I have also used the email link which works fine. I received a reply email that my requests were noted within a couple days.
