Filet Mignon, Porterhouse, Tbone,Prime Rib,Sirloin,Ribeye all has to be "well" done. I can't eat it any other way.

I used to like it medium rare but now I prefer medium.

My favorite cuts are london broil, prime rib, and filet mignon.

Medium rare for me.
I LOVE prime rib, but eat Rib Eye most often. Buy em and cook em on the grill.... yuuuummmmmyyyy.
I had a great filet on vacation :)

None of the above, I no longer eat red meat or pork.

Belle2003, this is so weird that you would post this poll. I was just thinking of you Sunday as I was making a standing rib roast, and realized that Yorkshire pudding would have tasted wonderful with it. I was going to ask you how you made it!! Funny, huh?

We love rib roast/prime rib. I love filet mignon, so does DH. In fact my DS's who are very picky, love it too...my luck, they couldn't love chicken nuggets, it has to be the best cut of meat....? DH also loves NY Strip.

I LOVE filet mignon. But, I want it well-done. I don't like seeing pink juice rolling around on my plate! :scared:

Yes, that is a coincidence and LOL at your DS's only liking the best! :teeth:

Just in case you want to make it next time I've added a link for you. We have all of Delia's cookbooks as her recipes always come out so well. :)

Delia's Yorkshire Pudding

Enjoy!

Medium for me. I like sirloin and fillet the most but will eat other cuts. :D

I like mine medium well. I don't like it really pink, but I do like it really warm.

Thanks Belle, I printed a copy of it! Ok, what is "Toad in the hole with roasted onion gravy"?? LOL, you Brits come up with some good ones! I have a good friend over here in SC who is from the Isle of Mann. She keeps me laughing!!

I have to laugh at some of our names too! My DN used to call toad in the hole "frog up the pole" when she was little! :p

Toad in the hole is sausages cooked in the yorkshire batter - simple as that and very tasty too! You just cook the sausages for a certain time in the oven before pouring over the batter mixture. If your DS's like sausages it's a good filling meal and really just needs a few vegetables with it.

I've never made roasted onion gravy but you can click on Delia's link as she has her recipe for it at the bottom of the page.

No toads were harmed during the making of this thread!!! :teeth:

Toad in the hole sounds yummy!! I guess it's no weirder sounding than the "one-eyed toast" that my mom used to make for me when I was a kid....

One eyed toast...cut a circle shape out of the center of a piece of toasted bread, put into skillet, butter in hole, break egg into hole..Cook till done.....Voila! One-eyed toast!!

One night I was watching BBCAmerica ( I love So Graham Norton!) and on the show, someone said,"Bob's yer uncle...." That was so funny, because my DS's have an uncle Bob, who is from Manchester!!!

I've never heard of One eyed toast before. ;)

I don't think I've ever said Bob's yer uncle - it's used by some when a job is done!

...and no, I don't have an Uncle Bob!

No mooing here... yipes! My mom loves her steak bloody and mooing, I'm the complete opposite. I cook mine dead...lol!

I get this cut called Eye of Round, I think it's a cheapy cut, since it's like 1.60 a pound at the commisary, but it's great. Tender and yummy. I put a little butter on my steak when I cook it and it really makes a difference.

I do love fillet as well, not too much for Prime Rib since it's ussually served RED...:earseek:
